It appears that State Senator Chris Steineger, a Wyandotte County Democrat and apparently a Kansas gubernatorial hopeful, is hosting a beer summit in Wichita on Friday at 5:00 pm at a fine local drinking establishment, The Anchor.
Steineger began tweeting random Wichita folks early this afternoon–many of whom have little-to-no interest in politics, or Democrats for that matter–asking them if they would be interested in a “Beer Summit” to “dicsuss (sic) issues important to young people.” (See here, here, here and here.)
We applaud Senator Steineger for engaging the young people in Wichita. It doesn’t happen often enough outside of those pols that directly serve Wichita. We also applaud him for choosing such a fine establishment in The Anchor.
But we also want to make sure Wichita youngsters are cautious: DON’T DISCUSS HEALTH CARE!
