But his statement that we trust doctors is not correct. We are forced to trust doctors because we have no other option. Not sure about western KS, but here in Kansas City, a 7 minute doctor appointment costs about 250 bucks.

I have some family members that just went into private practice. They expect to gross about half a million a year. How do they make that kind of money? They charge of 250 bucks for a seven minute appointment.

Doctors are part of the problem. As is the AMA. Doctors want tort reform to save about 10 per cent on their malpractice insurance premiums. Why do doctors that are competent need malpractice. It would seem not commiting malpractice might be a better idea that tort reform.

People I talk to as a congressional candidate want health care costs to be reduced. Not mandated health or universal health care. They want lower costs on medical care including that charged by doctors, the health insurance, drug and medical equipment manufacturers. But they are not going to get reductions in any of these things because Obama cut a deal with them in February.

I don't trust the AMA or medical doctors. Decades ago, most doctors are business first and then practice some medicine, usually at our risk to our health.

But thanks for going to Washington.

Thomas E.
